King Hereafter china mug
£16.50
King Hereafter, often considered Dorothy Dunnett’s masterpiece, combines adventure, warfare, Christianity, paganism and much more. This striking new mug design seeks to capture this sense of energy and peril through a scene that features both feuding ravens and a decidedly Viking-inspired sea-faring vessel.
The selected quotation is a favourite of many King Hereafter readers: “When next you stand by the sea, say goodbye for me.”
On the base of the mug you’ll find the Society’s logo. It will be posted in a sturdy and secure individual box.
Special thanks must go to two of the Society’s many talented artist members, without whom this miniature work of art would never have happened: Monica Murray, who helped hone the early design ideas, and Joyce Graham, whose skill, patience and creativity in executing her brief was inspiring.
Please do take the time to check out the other 3 mug designs in this beautiful series.
