Dunnett Weekend

This is an event where we have an opportunity to come together in celebration of the works of Dorothy Dunnett. This is an in-person event where we welcome guests from all over the world. It is a pleasure to spend time with each other, catch up and make new friends.

The Weekend usually starts on Friday evening, when we meet each other for dinner and conversation. Throughout the day on Saturday we hold lectures and activities covering different aspects of the books, related history or settings. We have a more formal Gala Meal together on Saturday night with readings from the novels and a toast to Dorothy Dunnett. On Sunday we enjoy organised trips within the local area to locations of interest, often historical locations or museums. Attendees can attend as much or as little of the weekend as they wish, as our booking process counts all the elements separately.

Non-members are welcome, although only members of the Society can attend the AGM which is held at the end of Saturday afternoon.
