A Journey to Stamford 2014

‘A Journey to Stamford’ took place in Stamford, Lincolnshire, from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September 2014.

The programme included a guided walk around the mediaeval wool town of Stamford; talks by guest speakers David Bostwick on the cultural history of the mediaeval, Tudor and Stuart periods, the Landi Textile Conservation Company on The Upkeep of the Mediaeval Bed, Jon Culverhouse, curator of Burghley House, on The Travelling Earls, Julia Hart on Dorothy Dunnett; and a guided tour of Burghley House.
